I was taught cupping a while back and have used cupping throughout my 20+ years in my massage practice. Even with the basics, I could see that cupping helped my clients a lot. So, this year I was looking to up my game in cupping. I did my homework and decided to get more advanced training in cupping with ICTA (International Cupping Therapy Association). They are based out of Kent, Washington and have teachers that travel all over the world-training people in CCM (Contemporary Cupping Methods). I guess it was meant to be, because when I started to look for the closest class and thinking I would have to travel to the opposite side of the US to get the training, I saw they were holding a class in Boca Raton, Florida. Even better, my best friend, also a massage therapist, lives in Boca so I had a place to stay! Can I tell you how excited I was to be able to not only learn more about cupping, but also hang out with my best friend for four days.
