Slow your Roll: Yamuna® Restorative Holiday Series

 

Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR®) is an intelligent self-care modality based on experiential anatomy and yoga principles that allows you to get underneath your compensatory habits and imbalances so that you can recover from injury and / or improve posture and increase the efficiency in your body mechanics

 

These extended sessions are open to all levels of health and are geared toward providing balance and finding conscious respite from any internal or external chaos or unrest. Each session offers a mix of movement and stillness as a way to guide participants to a newer level of self awareness.

The 2-hour Slow Your Roll workshops mix in the basic principles and props of restorative with the added tension relief of Yamuna props and slow rolling to help students navigate the sometimes stressful holiday season. The slower pace and extended practice provides an opportunity to unwind deeply as you enjoy some longer, slower rolling along with other practices. From this place, you may be able to shift your nervous system from the reactive fight or flight state to the more receptive rest and settle state, letting life unfold with less stress and less effort. When you surrender to the inside you find your own unique path back to your natural state of health and well being.

Meet the Instructor:

Meg views self-care as an increasingly necessary part of one’s life so that individuals can begin to feel not only in control of but also responsible for their health. She is interested in helping people understand their own habits and patterns as they consistently show up in breathing, movement and behavior. With this information, people can make changes based on their own feedback and experience.

Meg teaches from an anatomically functional and somatic perspective using YBR® , yoga and other spiritual practices as the lens. Her classes are clinic-style–responsive to the group, organic and spontaneous–so that each person in the room gets the personalized information he or she needs.
