Sound Healing Meditation

SOUND is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies…
A sound healing meditation is both a passive and participatory experience. The passive aspect is that you become more relaxed by sitting receptively and slowing your breath. By doing this, you prepare yourself to become the receiver of sound. It's in this place of stillness that you participate by becoming more open and aware of each sound that comes in. Sound helps create the pathway to this place of stillness the same as a mantra helps you to arrive at the still point of meditation.
Join us during this one hour meditation, with quartz crystal alchemy bowls. You will be guided to incorporate simple, but effective breathing exercises, gentle movements, and meditation techniques to help bring a deeper sense of relaxation before receiving the sound experience.
You will be encouraged to sit upright in a traditional meditation posture for the first portion of the class, and then you will be encouraged to lie down to enjoy the relaxation of the sound healing. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited. Arrive 15 minutes early to settle in. Bring your favorite yoga mat/pillow if you prefer. Chairs, mats, and a few pillows will also be provided. All are welcome.
