Join us for Yoga Classes in the Synergy Institute Lotus Room. The Lotus Room offers 900 sq/ft of classroom space with beautiful, warm cork flooring for our yoga, Yamuna Body Rolling, and meditation classes and workshops.

Beginner/Gentle Yoga

Are you looking for a gentler Yoga experience?  A safe and relaxing class that is perfect for beginners, those with movement limitations, stiffness due to lack of activity, and those who wish to slow down their practice. A softer, slower paced class that encourages gentle stretching and opening of the body.  Postures, breathwork and relaxation are included. 

Restorative/Yin Yoga

Longer pose holds help bring you deeper into the body as well as the mind. Muscles are passive which helps to increase flexibility and deepen openings. Yin yoga targets the inter-connective tissue, ligaments and joints. 

Vinyasa Flow

We're changing up the pace on Friday with a more vigorous flow class. Poses are linked one to another with shorter holds, using the breath to initiate movement and increase present moment awareness. Goal: Increased energy and an overall feeling of well being. Spine is moved in all six directions. Based on physical postures, deep breathing, mindfulness and above all, listening to and honoring your body. Foundational yoga postures develop body awareness, build strength, increase flexibility and concentration and improve balance. Props and modifications are offered to encourage proper posture and alignment.

Yamuna Body Rolling

Sustainable bodies come from sustainable usage. This class offers a unique mind–body exploration that helps participants experience their anatomy in order rehab, undo old patterns and incorporate healthy movement.

 YBR routines help participants work with their core strength to improve overall alignment and get underneath physical compensations in order to understand the actual and appropriate use of muscles and joints in everyday activities as well as in yoga and sports. You are welcome to drop in to a single class. No prior experience necessary.

Meet the Instructors

Meg Whitbread

Yamuna Body Rolling Instructor

Meg views self-care as an increasingly necessary part of one’s life so that individuals can begin to feel not only in control of but also responsible for their health. She is interested in helping people understand their own habits and patterns as they consistently show up in breathing, movement and behavior. With this information, people can make changes based on their own feedback and experience.

Meg teaches from an anatomically functional and somatic perspective using YBR® , yoga and other spiritual practices as the lens. Her classes are clinic-style–responsive to the group, organic and spontaneous–so that each person in the room gets the personalized information he or she needs.

Teresa Foster

Anusara & Integral Yoga Instructor

Teresa is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and holds two two-hundred hour teacher training certifications, Anusara & Integral yoga. In addition she has a twenty hour teacher training certificate in Restorative Yoga. Her journey on the yogic path spans 30+ years. She believes yoga is for every body, and can easily be adapted to suit anyone's needs. She encourages self care by helping to cultivate a sense of body awareness, and a calm and focused mind. This naturally leads to reduced anxiety and an enhanced feeling of happiness, ease and well being.
